Department of Computer Science Commencement Ceremony
The Department of Computer Science holds a commencement ceremony each May in honor of December, May, and August graduates from the current academic year. These graduates, along with their guests, are invited to attend the ceremony in May. Graduates will be contacted via email and invited to participate in the event.
No tickets are required for this event. Graduates should feel free to invite as many guests as they would like.
The department also hopes to host graduates and their families for a celebratory reception. Details for that event will be shared as they are determined.

Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
The Department of Computer Science hopes to host a celebratory hooding ceremony to honor all doctoral graduates from the past year. Doctoral graduates will be invited via email once details for the event have been determined.
University Commencement Ceremonies
University-wide ceremonies are held each semester (December and May) to honor graduates. The university also holds a doctoral hooding ceremony in May. Details on University Commencement ceremonies can be found here.
Parking Information
Please be aware that parking is extremely limited during the weekend of Commencement and even on the weekdays leading up. There will be road closures on campus, particularly on South Road between Country Club Road and Columbia Street. For a list of parking options, please see the university’s Commencement Parking page.
Accessibility
Commencement event officials do not supply disability parking permits. However, for those with disability plates or hang cards, there are typically park-and-ride options or drop-off points on campus. We will share more information about these options as it is made available to us.
