Graduate teaching assistants Kaki Ryan and Aaron Smith were recognized with Tanner Awards. Since 1990, UNC-Chapel Hill has given Tanner Awards to recognize excellence in the teaching of undergraduates by graduate teaching assistants. Winners receive a one-time stipend of $5,000 and a framed citation.
