Biography
Prairie Rose Goodwin is a teaching assistant professor of computer science, teaching courses on design patterns. She has previously taught classes on data structures, algorithms, and operating systems, and she makes it a point to mentor students on career development. She has over ten years of industry experience, most recently as a senior product developer in the IoT division at SAS, where she led and contributed to multiple projects on streaming analytics, machine learning, and computer vision.
Goodwin’s research focuses on how to evaluate AI-driven tools and workflows using data science and human factors. She is passionate about applying her skills and knowledge to create innovative and ethical solutions for real-world problems, and empowering her students to do the same.
