Biography
Donald Porter’s research interests broadly involve improving efficiency and security of computer systems. Porter earned a Ph.D. and M.S. from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Hendrix College. He has received awards including the NSF CAREER Award, Best Paper Awards at USENIX FAST and ACM EuroSys, and the Bert Kay Outstanding Dissertation Award from UT Austin. Porter also served as program co-chair for the 2016 ACM SIGPLAN/ACM SIGOPS International Conference on Virtual Execution Environments (VEE’16) and the 2018 ACM International Systems and Storage Conference (SYSTOR ’18).
