Biography

Shashank Srivastava is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Ph.D. from the Machine Learning Department at CMU in 2018, an M.S. degree in language technologies from CMU in 2014, and an undergraduate degree in computer science from IIT Kanpur in 2010. Shashank’s research interests lie in automatically analyzing and helping computers understand the structure and meaning of human language. He received the Yahoo InMind Fellowship for 2016-17. His research has been covered by popular media outlets including GeekWire and New Scientist.
