Fu wins Best Paper Finalist Award at RSS 2021

Computer science doctoral student Mengyu Fu was awarded a Best Paper Finalist Award at the Robotics: Science and Systems Conference, one of the top research conferences in the field of robotics. The paper was co-authored by Fu’s advisor, Professor Ron Alterovitz, and by Assistant Professor Oren Salzman of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Fried Awarded Prestigious NIH Fellowship

Doctoral student Inbar Fried was awarded the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral (F30) Fellowship, which seeks to enhance the integrated research and clinical training of promising predoctoral students who intend careers as physician-scientists or other clinician-scientists.

Chaturvedi receives NSF CAREER Award

Assistant Professor Snigdha Chaturvedi received a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). This five-year, $549,700 grant will support Chaturvedi’s continued research of natural language understanding under the context of the narrative and social aspects of language.
