Robotics researchers in the Department of Computer Science had nine papers accepted across two robotics conferences to be held in the first half of 2025.
The IEEE/ACM International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) is will be held in Australia in March, while the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) will take place in Atlanta in May. Both are among the top conferences in the field of robotics.
The papers came from the research groups of Distinguished Professor Ron Alterovitz, Kenan Professor James Anderson, Assistant Professor Mingyu Ding, Associate Professor Daniel Szafir, and Assistant Professor Huaxiu Yao. Ding was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley prior to beginning his UNC-Chapel Hill appointment in January.
One of the papers features work undertaken by lead author and computer science doctoral student Bryce Ikeda during a summer internship with the Office of Naval Research.
The full papers will be presented at the conferences later this spring, but their titles and authors can be found below.
