5:30 – 6:30 PM – Panel Discussion: The PhD Journey & Beyond
Learn more about what it’s like getting a PhD and the career prospects with a PhD, the first workshop includes a panel of students pursuing their PhD in computer science  (Akshay Paruchuri, Kaki Ryan) and faculty completed a PhD and have multiple years in academia (Dr. Saba Eskandarian) and industry (Dr. Richard Marks), moderated by PhD student Jade Kandel.

6:30 – 7:00 PM – Networking (and food)

7:00 – 8:00 PM – Workshop: Navigate the PhD Application Process
In this workshop, PhD candidate Jade Kandel breaks down the application process. You’ll learn what admissions look for, how to craft your story, and whether a PhD fits your goals. Bring your questions – leave with a plan.
