DEI Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee within UNC CS is to bring together various stakeholders to create, develop, and assess DEI practices with the department. The DEI Committee is primarily focused on improving the representation and retention of historically resilient groups, as well as the support and resources available to such groups, through strategic programming and initiatives. The committee is made up of faculty, staff, and students to ensure that practices are equitable and inclusive for all UNC CS community members.
