My name is Qiuyu Xiao (Chinese: 肖秋雨). My first name can be pronunced as Cho-U. I'm a
1st 2nd 3rd year Ph.D. student in UNC-CH CS department. I'm fortunate to be advised by Dr. Michael Reiter. It's a lot of fun working with him! I enjoy doing research in security, especially for designing and building secure systems. I got my B.S. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014.
My research is sponsored by the NSF-funded Frontier Project Silver. My recent work lies in applying differential privacy mechanism to defending against side-channel attacks (see [Pub. 1]).
