Gluten-Free Diets/Grain Allergies

Note: Gluten is a protein found in a number of grains, including wheat, rye and oats. Celiac sprue, or just celiac, is the term used to decribe the disease of being sensitive to gluten.

The Gluten Free Kitchen
Recipes, shopping help, and other information for the gluten-free.
Avoiding Corn has information on avoiding corn in the diet, including lists of common foods with corn-derived ingredients.
"Best Gluten-Free Recipes" is an Australian site with a number of gluten-free recipes and advice for living within a gluten-free diet.

Egg and/or Milk free Diets

Note: There are pointers to vegetarian sites listed below. Lacto-vegetarians avoid eggs but do use milk, while ova-vegetarians use eggs but do not use milk. (An ova-lacto vegetarian will use both eggs and milk, so do read the recipes!) Vegans avoid both animal's milk and eggs.

Veggies Unite! has a large collection of vegan recipes (no milk or eggs).
Eating without Casein
Information on casein (a milk protein) and how to avoid it.
Children with Milk Allergies and Other Food Allergies
Lots of specific information on foods and how to figure out if it has milk products.
The No Milk Page has pointers to a number of Web pages dealing with milk allergies and lactose intolerance.
Lactose Intolerance Clearinghouse provides resources for those who avoid lactose in their diet.
rec.food.veg and rec.food.veg.cooking are two newsgroups with recipes and informtion that may help those avoiding milk or eggs.
Kat's Vegan Recipe Database and Vegan Recipes will have no eggs or cow's milk.
